Daryl — Founder of Beyond Disruption
Lived crisis experience, put at the service of organisations that don't always have the internal resources of a large group.
Daryl built his career around a simple conviction: the best preparation for a crisis is one that has already been tested in the field. For more than 35 years, he devoted a large part of his professional path to operational resilience and crisis management within a Geneva private bank — a demanding environment where business continuity and client protection tolerate no approximation.
Throughout his career, he has led or supported the management of major crises — health-related, geopolitical, technological — in an international, multi-jurisdiction context and before several regulators, for organisations with several hundred employees. This direct experience, repeated across very different contexts, allowed him to identify what truly works when the pressure rises: clear roles, simple reflexes, and an organisation tested before it is needed.
In 2015, he completed a secondment in London focused on business continuity management (BCM), then obtained the ISO 22301 Lead Implementer certification in 2016, the international standard for business continuity management. Keen to combine field experience with analytical rigour, he completed a Machine Learning degree at EPFL in 2021, which today feeds a tooled, data-driven approach to risk analysis.
It is this lived experience that he now makes available to SMEs, mid-caps and independent professionals through Beyond Disruption — organisations that face the same continuity challenges as large groups, but without always having the same internal resources.
